PLANNING CHRISTMAS ALREADY

I'm not a very organised person and each year Christmas just creeps on on me, resulting in last minute panic as all the things that I planned on doing or making just haven't happened! This year I have decided to keep things simple and to start planning now so I can relax and enjoy Christmas this year, well that's the plan anyway.

So, my first purchase this year is a set of Christmas biscuit cutters to make gingerbread baubles for our Christmas tree, inspired by this image on Pinterest. I am going to ice them with the boys and make an edible Christmas tree!

  1. I love Christmas and I have just started planning too. I have been following you on pinterest and getting inspired by your pins. We have two children's birthdays to organise first though :) Happy Christmas planning.

This is such a good idea Emma. I have to say though that your Christmas as depicted on your blog always looks lovely and heart felt, not in the least last minute.

  3. Good plan. I hope to be able to say I'll get on top of my Christmas plans before the end of the month, but I know it'll be a last minute scramble, like it always is. Your plan does sound delicious though.

  4. They're great cutters Emma, can't wait to see them all decorated. Every year I start planning for Christmas in October and then get completely sidetracked and hurtle into Christmas at the last minute! I'm trying harder this year, is year, especially with the big birthday party pretty soon. I don't know if you got my Instagram message but if it would be still ok I'd love to borrow your festoon lights, if you really wouldn't mind. What would be the best way to get them here - post or courier? I can organise whatever is easiest if that's ok. Thanks so much for the offer. Xx

  5. This sounds wonderful - are you running your gingerbread house workshop this year? Finn would love to make one and I always seem to run out of time. A workshop would be perfect and a lovely way for Finn and I to spend the day together.
