postcards from...

picture of me by Leonie Wise

I spent a lovely day last week saying goodbye to a beautiful friend who is heading home after six years of adventures on our shores. We've now got a jam jar in a kitchen cupboard marked 'New Zealand' and have started saving our pennies, so hopefully one day we'll meet again and can sit drinking tea in the sunshine.

  1. I found you from a list of the top 50 baby blogs. I would love to sit down with a cup of tea and a slice of cake and share your adventures! Lovely blog :)

  2. Hello Emma, what a lovely idea! I have family out in both Oz and NZ and keep telling myself I really need to visit but would need at least 8wks to do justice to both countries I reckon. So would need to persuade my boss and the company I work for to allow me some unpaid leave. Maybe I'll take a very late gap year..... but the other problem is, now I have my beautiful + very precious granddaughter, I'd really miss seeing her! Guess I could always Skype from Oz and NZ!
    love Ellen x

  3. What a lovely post (and photo), I do hope you manage to meet up again in the future. I got round to making some hedgerow jelly as you suggested (recipe from River Cottage Preserves) - delicious so thanks for the tip!
