a snow walk in spring...

We woke today to a carpet of snow and freezing temperatures which have arrived only a few days after the spring equinox. So after half an hour of trying to find hats, matching gloves, scarves and putting on many layers, we ventured out into the snow for a long and bracing walk followed by a pub lunch with friends.

  2. These shots are just beautiful. What fun to be able to explore and play in snow covered fields like that... such a contrast to the warm weather over here at the moment. Your blog is just lovely x

    1. Thank you Amanda, it was very cold but really worth adventuring outside yesterday, especially as our lunch in front of an open fire felt very deserved indeed! Emma x

  3. Ooh, looks like that hot chocolate was well needed! Lovely photos of the dry stone wall and roof tiles.

  4. Thank you Alice, I love the texture of the dry stone walls and Cotswold stone roof tiles too. We made white hot chocolate yesterday, following this recipe http://emmabradshaw.blogspot.co.uk/2013/01/making-perfect-hot-chocolate.html that we've tested before, it was certainly needed to keep us going! 5. Returned home from a weekend in Devon to similar snowy scenes at home. Seems crazy for Spring, but definitely a good idea to relish the winter wonderland and embrace the cosiness! Love the way that you do this in style.
