fruit picking...

A few weeks ago we visited the local fruit farm for our annual berry picking. We usually make jam to last us through Winter, but this year have followed a recipe with less sugar in for a loose, more fruity jam, more like a compote, which won't keep as long. I have made Strawberry and Rose Jam, Summer Berry Jam and Raspberry Jam, all with a 'half the weight of the fruit in sugar plus the juice of a lemon' ratio. It's now taking over the fridge, to be used in a few weeks for a celebration.

  1. Beautiful photographs. The jam recipe sounds really lovely. I keep meaning to try making some each year but never seem to get around to it.

    1. It's really easy - you can even just knock up a small amount to fill a jar - we put it on ice cream as sauce too ;0)

  3. I love picking fruit when I was little - summer days picking strawberries and raspberries and the with my granny going along blackberry hedges.

Love the idea of your less sugar gem/compote - much more delicious!

Hope you don't mind me asking - I have recently just started a blog of my own - how do you get the blogs that you follow to show on your blog? Thanks so mucho x

    1. Hi Sarah
Thank you. The list I have in the right hand column was really simple to add, just go to your layout tab on the 'overview page' then add a gadget, I selected 'blog list' and have added my favourite blogs by individually adding the blog url's over time! Then you can drag to where you want the gadget to sit, whilst in the layout view. I hope this makes sense?
