I still can't crochet!

crochet by me

I ripped a pattern out of an old Martha Stewart magazine years ago as I just loved the crochet snowflakes in it. I haven't got around to learning yet, despite a few kind offers to teach me, but my lovely crafting friend Christina crochets beautifully and has already made a few at our Wednesday night crafting sessions! I am going to have to learn as I quite fancy a garland of these sewn together for Christmas and that's not far away at all!

I hope you will pick it up quickly as this looks like a beautiful project.

I did try to learn at one time but knitting and crochet are my arch enemies it seems! : )

you can do it!! just have someone with you to show you how to hold the yarn and move your fingers...there is also a very comprehensive video gallery of stitches on youtube...go hard!

i was taught to crochet in year six but i've forgotten. i so desperately want to make a big granny square blanket like that gorgeous sandra juto one (you've mentioned it here before and i love it too). i've already started looking for colours i could use.

Hi Emma, I have commented a few times on your blog and as you have crafting sessions with friends, I thought you might be interested in this project I am doing the PR for - please spread the word with crafters in your area. http://planetblanket.wordpress.com/
