another find in the junk shop. An old chess set made from box wood. I am rubbish at chess I start really well then get bored - I have no strategic brain at all! Alfie is doing really well for five years old, he will soon be giving me a run for my money and as for Ted, well he just plays with the horses!

This is just like the one that I have that used to be my dad's when I was little. I think I might have to show Lady A how to play as well.
How charming. I like the way my 6 yr old plays, he makes up his own moves.

Now Chess is something I've always wanted to learn. I love Backgammon and play it all the time, but I can't find anyone to teach me Chess. Lovely set - I think my Dad had one like that years ago.
