Sun kissed and smiling

Portheras beach

A week is never long enough in Cornwall, this year we were introduced to some beautiful new beaches that we hadn't known about before...

We had a full English breakfast at the Beach Restaurant http://www.thebeachrestaurant.com/ whilst overlooking the sea. And we saw about six basking sharks http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basking_shark off the beach at Portheras, as well as dolphins (in the distance) and some seals! We ate the most amazing huge carrot cake bought from Ferrell's bakery in Fore Street, St.Ives and walked to Men an Tol, Lanyon Quoit and the nine maidens pre-historic stones, the views were amazing, you could see the whole Penwith peninsular stretched out from high on the moors.

Alfie and Bella on Portheras beach!
